I thought it would be a great thread to discuss how we have dealt with people who are bigoted against fat people. Maybe by sharing our snappy comebacks, or ways we educated others we might all have a few more tools in our tool belt. At the very least we will be entertained.

I have an acquaintance who is the wife of my husbands best friend. SHe has two overweight sisters and is predisposed to that herself. But she goes on every diet coming down the road, loves her martial arts for the work out and is obsessed with her kids not being fat. When I would go to visit at their house she was always talking about the latest diet she was on and handing me the information of what she was on or researched one that she felt would work for me. I have calmly discussed with her my past history with dieting, and my work with size acceptance and she still persisted. SO one day I said to her"Listen if you can strap on extra weights all over your body equalling to the 100 lbs or more I weigh than you AND keep up with me for a day I will go on any diet you pick for me!" She declined and had not shown me a diet since LOL
