I had an interesting exchange today and I've been chewing on it all day so I figured this would be a good place to purge my thoughts.
I was eating lunch with a couple of female friends, Erin and Anna. Both of them would be considered fat by mainstream standards but I dont think either are. Erin is 5'10 and about 200 but she has huge hips and thighs and runs daily so I would hardly call her out of shape. Anna is about 5'4 and maybe 160 but she is also mostly hips and thighs.
So this gorgeous BBW walks by, probably 320 ish, and Erin says something along the lines of "I know thats right up your alley"
Anna says "How could you be attracted to someone that fat?"
I responded with "What can I say? I like what I like"
then she replied "I guess I can understand that, I could never imagine dating a black guy but I dont care if other people do it"
How could I respond to that? How does one even draw that parallel? Am I wrong for being so bothered by this comment? I am eager to hear your thoughts
