I have a home computer, but sitting at the desk is too uncomfortable for extended periods of time. I have access to a laptop computer that I can use while sitting on the couch more comfortably but it belongs to my daughter so I only have limited access to it. I need a computer or something similar that I can use anywhere that is not too expensive.
This is where I am hoping you Dimmers who are more knowledgeable about these things than I am can help me. Sometimes I feel old and out of touch when it comes to today's technology.
What I want to be able to do on the computer is basically surf the web, go on Facebook, go to Dims, read the news, watch videos; basically the usual stuff. I know I could get a laptop but I don't have the money for something that expensive.
Has anyone had any experience with one of those smaller, cheaper laptops? Or what about something like a Kindle Fire? Can I do all the things I want to on that? Any other suggestions? Like I said, I have no clue about technology. I feel like the old lady ranting and raving about "these kids today" and their modern technology.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
