There's a new attack from the Republicans virtually every day on a woman's right to choose and it's gotten to be too much to chronicle all of it with a separate thread each time.
So I thought maybe we'd aggregate the many instances of proposed or passed anti-choice legislation here for simplicity's sake. (Haha -- "simplicity." In Hyde Park. But I digress.)
NB: in case you're wondering, I did, in fact, choose my words carefully when titling the thread. We all know which political party is deeply invested in overturning Roe v. Wade. The question is, why, exactly? Yes, there's a philosophical stance on the sanctity of the fetus that warrants respectful debate...but I reckon there's something else at work here, that the recent spate of abortion-curtailing laws constitute another aggressive plank in the polarizing, intentional culture war that's currently heating up again on the right.
Anyway, it's all up for discussion. But mainly I'd like to purpose this thread for keeping track of the seemingly daily assaults -- the collective "siege," as it were -- on a woman's constitutionally-protected right to determine her own reproductive life.
