This past weekend I was on the lower east side of Manhattan and found The Donut Plant. Homemade, absolutely delicious donuts like I had never had before. Heck, this place even makes their own jelly. The donuts are oversized, except for the criminally rich creme brulle donuts, and just melt in your mouth. It's on Grand Street, just east of Essex, around the corner from the Pickle Guy.
