Well, it seems so.
"For the up and coming 5th series of Desperate Housewives, set 5 years in the future, Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria) is feeling the strain of looking after 2 kids and a blind husband, and has evidently gained some weight."

Gossip had been circulating for quite some time whether she was preggers or just plain "fat and frumpy", but it is now evident she is to "gain the weight" for her role in the next series, though some padding is rumoured to be used.
The amount gained for this role is not clear nor is Gabby's actual size come the new seasons eventual start, but i and i'm sure all of you hope it's quite hefty!
