I know we've had some car threads, but I wanted to ask about the Volkswagen Beetle in particular. My car, a Saturn, is apparently shrinking. 
I'm pear-shaped, 5'10" and nearly 500 pounds, and my car's bucket seats barely hold my can. So I've been grudgingly considering other car options. I read this review of the 2002 Volkswagen Beetle that said it's a very roomy car:

Have any of you--especially any supersized gals or guys--driven a Beetle? Was it roomy? If you are or were an owner, is/was the car satisfactory overall?
