I just finished the reading Shamans Crossing by Robin Hobb.

She writes Fatasy fiction and is probably one of my favorite authors. In the second book of the series (Forrest Mage) the main character grows inexplainably fat. While I don't know exactly how this character will be treated in this book, I think it will show a glimpse at the amazing fat prejudice in our culture. In the first book Hobb had a pretty intense sensual scene between the hero and the Fat "Tree Woman."

Those who like Science Fiction and Fantasy should check out this series.

I stayed up till 4:00a.m. reading Shamans Crossing
