Last night I went out for a friend's birthday. We went to Urban Fondue in NW Portland. Oh, my God. There was actually a point during the meal when I caught myself going "Yes, yes, yes." It started with cheese fondue from Oregon's Tillamook region. It was so rich, roasted with caraway. Then came East Meets West, with pork, chicken, prawns and scallops served in a tomato fennel broth.
