Howdy!
I've spent the last couple of years (ouch---that long?) on my new album, tentatively titled "Another One With Everything On It" under the moniker used by my wife Julie and myself, "The Maxes".
Got 7 kickin' tracks in the can, mixed and ready to be released.
We're recording another 4 over the next 2 months, hoping for an April release.
Our Les Toil is doing the cover--yay! (Hope that's ok to tell people, Brian---we're excited...)
Anyway, I'm dying to have people listen to the tracks and tell me which three are the "best".
So---for the first 5 people who email me with their info, I'll send a disc in the mail with a sheet asking a few choice questions like:
"Do you think this song
a) is a Grammy
b) Good for the middle of the album
c) Should be left off the album?"
Like that.
With a self-adressed, stamped envelope for your response.

I'd do more than 5...but 5 seems a good number when thinking about postage, packaging, all that, free. But if you really MUST have one and you are number 6, that's ok with me.
The style of music is melodic, bluesy, loungey, atmospheric, upbeat and and organic. The tracks were mixed by a guy who's engineered and mixed for Carlos Santana, Chris Botti, and other smooth-groovin' cats.
Organic meaning real drums played by a real drummer, standup bass, acoustic and electric 6-and-12-string guitars, congas, flute, hammond organ and vocals by Julie and I.
All instruments except drums, flute and congas were performed by me.
The only fake instrument used was a mellotron---that creepy, weird keyboard with recorded tape loops in its innards, best known on The Moody Blues' "Nights In White Satin", Yes' "Heart Of The Sunrise", Bowie's "Space Oddity" and so on.
NOTE:
If your idea of a genius is 50 Cent or Rob Thomas, you probably don't need to listen to this.
If you mainly dig hard-core, ditto.
If you DO like: The B-52s---Esquivel----The Police---60s music---lots of guitars---good, smooth, adult grooves and pop songs you can sing---better.
Do drop a line.
