My parents are both pretty active and lately my dad has been dropping comments about my weight. Personally I know who I am and I know what I look like. I try my best to be positive and happy but honestly unless I'm thin, they don't think much of me.

Here's the story;

I'm 6'3 300lbs. So I know I'm not small but since I've been back at school I've been working hard during college where I received A's or B's this year while taking 6 courses. I haven't had as much exercise as I used to with my former job at a warehouse however during that time I sprained my right ankle twice and my left ankle once. I also had a 500lbs drum of oil fall on my left ankle, I told the doctor what happened and she said "That should be shattered." and instead it was just a rough bruise, she couldn't believe it and complimented my on my dense bones. After all that my parents didn't have any respect for me because they considered my job to be "beneath" the family. Anyway I asked him to play squash with me so that way he would stop thinking I was so lazy. My dad has been playing tennis for 30 years and is a very skilled athlete. I'm sure when i asked him to play he thought "Game on fat boy!"

Here's so of the stuff he said leading up to the day we played:

- "How were you able to get a shirt that big?" - The racket club has an all white attire dress code.

- "Tough to move when you take up half the court."

- "It's going be tough to see around you."

- "It's tough staying in shape, but hey good for you round is a shape right?"

I don't remember the rest.

On the first warm up swing my leg popped. I'm not sure what happened but it hurt to put weight on it, so up having to play with practically one leg. I didn't want to quit because he would just keep saying how lazy i was. We played the first two games and I won 11 - 7 and 11 - 6.

The last game I was getting tired and frustrated because he kept saying stuff. I was down 4 - 8. And then he said "Is your leg still hurting?" "a bit." a he said "I'm not surprised, there is a lot of weight on there."

That set of the fire in my eyes and I won the match 11 - 9. The one point he got was when I smashed the ball so hard it went out of the court into the stands.

After I won he stood there dumbfounded so I couldn't resist it and I said "Not bad for being out of shape eh?"

He wants a rematch.

We'll see how it goes tonight. I'll let you know.
