Ever since western media noticed the resurgence of Fidel Castro in the pubic arena earlier this month there seems to have been one baseless statement after another characterizing what this means for the United States and the small nation. First his return was the doom of Cuba. then he was characterized as saying that the Cuban economic model has failed-- with the journalist totally misunderstanding what the endgame of communist economic models are, or hoping the american people would. its hard to know exactly what Fidel's return means to the future of Cuba. it could really go anywhere. what are your predictions? do you think Fidel's return will have any impact at all? what do you think this will mean to future relations between Cuba and the US?
