My name is Alex, and I recently started a thread trying to see if there was anyone in my area who would be interested in going out with me. This, like everything else I try, has failed overwhelmingly. Apparently in my last message in that thread, I violated some unspoken taboo of which I knew nothing, namely in my desire to have sex. Well, I'm a guy. We want to have sex. I would be lying if I said otherwise. I'm also looking for the kind of companionship and emotional closeness that I have seen in my friends who are couples, that I have never even come close to feeling. I've been on one date in my life and the (expletives deleted) broke it off over the phone a few hours before our supposed second date.I'm bitter, desperate, lonely and tired of putting so much effort into something only to be rewarded with complete and utter failure. I'm also a really nice guy with an offbeat sense of humor who, in two personality tests on the same site, proved to be more straight than most men, and also to be a woman. If I have to pretend to be something and someone that I'm not, then what's the point?
Right now, I'm not really looking for anything too serious, because I'm planning on moving to San Diego as soon as I can get some things paid off.
I'm writing this, just so that you all can know how I feel about what has gone on. If this changes the way anything happens, great, if not, at least it will get people thinking.
