I've live in WI all my 41 years, and never hit a deer with my car.....until today. Darn thing cross the road in front of me, was on the *opposite shoulder*, looked right at me, turned and ran right in front of the car.
I'm torn between feeling bad about the deer's death (let's face it, the deer made the choice to run in the wrong direction), and slightly smug because the car is still running. Still, almost $1900.00 initial damage - before they even open the hood - on an 11-year old car. Doggone it, I like that car.
