Seeing that the current crop of musical "talents" hogging the charts, i thought it would be an oppurtune moment to reminice about the past and choose what you think is the greatest album from the last 50 years or so. So from 1958-2008, what in your view should be named the greatest album ever. Maybe even say why.
I would make a poll yet i have no idea how and it would be kinda hard, seeing as i don't know every good album from the last 50 years, so pretty much everyone would put other, which wouldn't be helpful.
So, i guess i'll go first, seeing as this was my idea to post this topic. So logical
Arcade Fire - Funeral
Personally, i think it's the best, most original album i've heard ever, though i know very few of you will agree or have even have heard of it (though if you have please say, it'll make me happy ).
It's just amazing, cause they've mixed so many genres, rock, pop, indie, folk, alternative, i could say more, if i knew any more.... and it's all different from todays crap, generic annoyingly repetetive stuff that almost every band seems to be trying to do their own, slightly different, but equally bad, version of. And it's different in a good way, not in the way that Amy Winehouse is different, but in an original way, a refreshing way cause you know their the only ones that are doing stuff like that. I mean who else uses an organ in music any more?
Just genius.
Now you make your inspired, obviously different choices.
