Ok, so I have a black suit that I'm planning on wearing. The pants are a tad long but I have shoes with heels, which should lessen the effect of the pants being a tad long. Don't have a lot of time to get them hemmed up as the interview is tomorrow. I won't be tripping over the pants, which was the point of the shoes.
My choices of blouses are burgundy, white with black buttons, black and white vertical stripes, and white with brown and gold vertical stripes. I'm a winter.
I was leaning toward the white shirt because I didn't want to look like I was going to a funeral, but the whole problem with black suits is you look like you're going to a funeral anyway. I don't normally wear white by itself, but layered with stuff, it's ok. I have some solid-colored T-shirts that I could also wear under it, but they don't look as dressy.
I could theoretically wear a non-blouse under it, but I don't have that many dressy tops that aren't button-down blouses.
