Is ObamaCare Unconstitutional? I saw this link on Yahoo News. It is an opinion piece from the Christian Science Monitor. Not Fox News.

I am not a constitutional scholar, but I can read. I have read the US Constitution several times. From a layman's perspective I must agree with Nathan Tucker's view that the Commerce Clause does not provide a constitutional basis for ObamaCare. That means the individual mandate is unconstitutional. The government can not force you to purchase something you do not want.
Second, a private company can not be forced to sell a product or service to someone. Even if that transactions produces an initial profit. With the exception of protected classes. That means on the basis of race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, etc..
Basically, insurance companies can not be forced to cover pre-existing conditions.
Without these twin pillars, ObamaCare is not nothing more than higher premiums and greater bureaucracy.
