About three weeks ago a local (Charlotte, NC) teenage boy went missing and within about 12 hours his mutilated body was found on a street in Milton, MA. Authorities now believe he snuck onto the runway and stowed-away in the wheel well of an airplane. I drive past Charlotte Douglas International where this happened everyday to and from work and it got me to thinking.
With all the security crackdown in the terminal is no one watching the planes ? If you have a ticket you get an anal exam before boarding but evidently you can walk right up and jump in a wheel well no problem. There is a huge construction project at the airport right now and some of the perimeter fences are down and obviously left unguarded. Where is the TSA on a real and present danger, and is all the new security just an illusion ?
