Just thought I'd better let you all know, right up front, that Janet received no injuries in an accident she had this morning.
*whew!*
Just a little after 7 am today (Tuesday), a deer put itself in the path of her car, which was travelling at 100 kph (62 mph).
Her tiny little car took the blow, protecting her in a textbook example of crumple-zone construction.
Alas, the brave little coupe is now out of commission, with much busted-up and bent aluminum and plastic where once flowed sleek red lines of aerodynamic efficiency.
Janet was (understandably) shaken by the event. Intrepid sort that she is, however, she will once again be making the two-hour drive tomorrow morning.
Right now, she's asleep. :wubu:
I am so relieved that (beyond the deer's experience) mere property damage was all that was sustained.
Once again:
*whew!*
