I've noticed a million threads on dealing with relationships, but not much on how to start them. For a lot of us, just finding a place to meet BBWs/BHMs/FAs (outside of events dedicated to that, of course) and striking up a conversation is the hardest part.
So, for those of you who have experience in finding relationships, or even just hooking up, I think we need a thread where you can share some of your wisdom at length.
I think this would be a good place for us lonely people out there to get some help with our problems meeting girls/guys.
This is a big topic, so here are some things I was thinking we could cover:
- Good places to go to meet girls/guys.
- Alternatives to the bar and club scene.
- Starting a conversation with a BBW/BHM
- Flirting 101
- Overcoming shyness, in yourself and your "target"
- Dating and starting a relationship
- Casual sex and the complications of it
- Getting past the social shields
- Internet dating advice and flirting on forums (e.g.: this one).
- Game, and how to get it
- Body language
- Being confident, but not cheesy.
I'll start with my own dilemma: I'm a kind of shy (i.e.: invisible to most girls), chubby 19 year-old who lives in an exurb with pretty much nothing to do outside of the local big box stores and shopping malls.
I'm having trouble finding places to meet girls period, let alone BBWs and FFAs.
I'm not ready to throw myself into the Ybor City club scene (and I don't drive anyway, so it's a moot point) and the hangout spots, besides a Borders, a shitty bowling alley and two shopping malls, are nonexistant.
Would you recommend I try reaching out wherever I happen to be at the moment, or are there other places I should try going? Any advice for talking up girls in boring places? (stores, restaraunts, etc.)
