Just an anecdotal observation I've had through interactions online and in real life with the younger generation and I'm wondering what others experiences have been as well. I also know we have some in the 30 and under crowd around here too whose take I'd be welcome to hear.
I'll start this by saying I really don't much care for the "snowflake" moniker that most in the generation get as everyone has topics and things that offend them for whatever reason and it seems this only an insult applied to them when it can be equally applied to anyone of any age that is offended about anyting. I've found that most millenials I have dealt with are very bright and much better educated for the most part than many other generations and are definitely the most tech savvy being that they grew up connected. Many also do work very hard to achieve and I also like how they are a much more inclusive of all people.
Now to the point of my question. What is it about this generation that makes them not be able to handle criticism of any kind. I have found that if you say something they perceive as negative you are hateful and instantly get labeled some kind of pejorative. They seem to only be able to handle positivity and people that agree with them. Also, when they come at you a bit snarky and sarcastic they get very wounded and surprised when you respond in kind and put them on blast in return.
Anyway this is purely anecdotal and perhaps others experiences may differ. I'd be interested in hearing from others. Especially those that are in the workforce with them or educators like Dr. Feelgood who have interacted with them on a daily basis or even from some younger members themselves.
