So lately it seems anything weird or odd that can happen to me does.
The most recent is that Saturday I went to the grocery store with my mom and we saw the leftover halloween candy and I bought a couple bags of those carmel apple lolipops. To which my mom said "Dont get those they will destroy your teeth."
We get in the car and I pull one out and begin to suck on it and not 5 minutes later I pull it and my CROWN out of my mouth. Now my insurance no longer covers anything but steel crowns so I pretty upset and I am hoping that they can get it back in my mouth.
My dentist who I adore is retiring and I got his replacement a young and VERY hot guy. And maybe that was part of the problem I was paying attention to him and not my teeth, then of course there is the fact I have a weird bite (very close and slightly off center) so that when he fitted the crown and asked me to bite down I did not really notice anything off, though it did feel a tad strange and I chalked that up to it having been out of my mouth a few days.
Now my old dentist has learned that with my bite so close together he has to double check how my teeth impact. (I dont have an over bite or under bite, my front teeth nearly meet perfectly , which is not as good as it sounds since it causes a lot of impact) So he uses like carbon paper stuff to check, I should have asked the new guy if they would do that but I was a last minute appointment and had waited over an hour and just wanted to go and I thought the tooth was right.
Then I left the dentists and went to get something to eat... BANG, CRUNCH the tooth is impacting with every bite of food I take and I felt around more and looked in the mirror and it is BACKWARDS, it is in the wrong way round and now it is cemented in there and I am scared that I will have to loose it in place of a steel crown.
I know these things are partly my fault, I should not have bought lolipops but I suck other kinds a lot.
I should have listened to my mom.
I should have been paying more attention at the DDS's office and insisted he check the fit.
But still it just seems if something can go wrong lately it does.
Am I the only person this happens to? Tell me your stories so I dont feel alone
