Yes another kitty thread.

My beautiful kitty beethoven is not getting any better. His blood count has dropped to 12. In a healthy cat it should be 35. Even a blood transfusion would only put it up to 15-20. The vet has basically said there is nothing more we can do for him. And her recommendation is he gets put to sleep sooner rather than later so he does not develop any pain. At the minute he is ok, tired and grumpy, not eating, but he's not in pain.

However it is only a matter of time until he gives up. So the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep has had to be made. I knew this was coming but it still stings like hell.

He is getting put to sleep tomorrow at 10am. We are going to get him cremated and put him in a wee urn to keep with us.

My heart is completely broken. He has had a wonderful year with us, and I am going to try to remember the good times. I just dont know if I am going to be able to go into the room with him when the time comes.

:(
