I love tea. I really like nice tannic black teas best. I like English Breakfast tea a lot; especially made by UK companies like Brodie's or Newby.
I don't much care for bottled teas because 99% of them have sweetening and don't really capture the essence of tea. I do like a few kinds, though like TeJava from Trader Joe's which is pure unsweetened tea, and Honest T teas because even though they are sweetened, they are barely so. It's sort of like the barest hint of sweet. They also taste really nice.
I spied a bottle of Snapple English Breakfast tea today on the shelf. I was mildly interested. Upon closer inspection of the bottle, it reports itself as lightly sweetened. HMMM I should have taken that as a warning because it's made by Snapple and Snapple caters to the grand sugar loving population of the modern world. So I bought one.
I sit at my desk and pop the thing open. Here is a wonderful review that I think is apt:

Needless to say, my review is:
The aroma in the bottle was like baked macaroni and cheese with brown sugar on top. The taste was like liquid raisins. It tasted nothing like tea and it was gaggingly sweet.
Avoid this at all costs. Their normal sweet regular tea is 100's of times better and even drinkable compared to this.
