Hey - I didn't want to come right out and say "Young at heart". That's for others to decide.
'Ho Ho Tai' has posted several times now, while pondering an introductory message. Well folks,
here it is, to go along with the pix that my good friend Mr. GeorgeNL helped me to prepare.
Ho Tai has been my office and household god for over 40 years. He was given to
me by a co-worker, who had picked it up somewhere in the Orient. He has smiled
his somewhat leering smile at me all that time, while waiting for me to grow
into what he is, and has been all along.
Well, in many ways, I have. There is that smile, barely disguising a leer, a
round tummy, which likes to be rubbed, just as legend says about Ho Tai. We
still differ somewhat; mostly in that Ho Tai continues to render his wisdom in
silence. I am not as silent, nor nearly as wise, and have added an extra 'Ho' to
my handle - 'Ho Ho Tai' to warn you of my tendency to babble.
We both enjoy the company of ladies of wisdom (with, perhaps, a bit of roundness
to them also), a wisdom which can come from age, or experience, or both. One of
the ladies of wisdom in my life is my own dear wife. Others are friends who help
keep the merriment flowing.
Ho Tai currently stands comfortably between The Laughing Ladies (our household
goddesses) - ladies who understand that the greatest wisdom, when all is summed
up, is simply Love and Laughter, intertwined.
Here's where Ho Tai currently lives, with his two Laughing Ladies. Plenty there for them to discuss.
You can see our pet raccoon (stuffed) peering over the edge to see what all the excitement's about.
And here's Ho Tai, close-up, again with his Laughing Ladies. They seem a bit blurred. I think they
must have gotten into some of that Australian YellowTail Hoppin' Kangaroo.
And here's the man himself, tummy, leer and all, a bit worn from those thousands of years of love and laughter.
