I thought NASA was set up to promote air and space developments. President Obama seems to have other plans. There were news stories claiming Obama wants NASA to work on global warming, but this is just crazy.

The US government has an entire department created to handle foreign affairs. It's called the State Department.
Maybe NASA should stick with science like aircraft and space research.
