The great white north, eh?
Lately I’ve been getting a lot of pain in the top of one foot. That is, it feels like it is at the middle of the arch, but more towards the upper than lower surface of the foot. I think there is a joint in the foot bones at that point. I have found I’m more apt to get this when I’ve been walking a lot in footwear without decent arch support. It is one of those things which tends to be worst first thing in the morning then gradually get better—although depending on how bad it is and the day it can continue to ache somewhat all day long.

Anyone familiar with this sort of foot pain? Does it have a particular name? Any suggestions on what to do about it (other than invest in more really good insoles)? Is this apt to be something weight relate? (I’ve been getting this only in the past year or so, as my weight hit a new high. I’m not all that big (220-230 range), but I’m wondering if I did get my act together to lose a little bit if this might ease a bit).

Regards;

-Ed
