You know, I don't mind chatting with people if they message me. It's a way to get to meet new people, and even perhaps become friends, etc.
What I do mind is that when half of these people strike up conversations, be "OMG! I admire you so much! I want to be there for you, and I want this and that to happen!" and suddenly they stop talking to you after a couple of hours. They disappear and when they finally reappear hours later or the next day, you try to message them, and right after they quickly sign off again.
I'm starting to see a trend here, and I do not play games. If I had a dollar for every guy I've run into from this forum that's messaged me spouting the malarkey above, I'd only have to work my job part-time instead of full-time. I am getting really tired of it. I am here to have a good time and possibly meet new people too, but it's this kind of behavior that really disheartens you, and makes you wonder "Am I ever going to meet a decent man who doesn't play such childish head games?".
