It is with a sad heart that I must share the news of the unexpected passing of a NAAFA Board of Directors Member, and long time friend, Jeanne Toombs. Jeanne passed away yesterday from complications during her hospitalization for the treatment of pneumonia. Jeanne has been spearheading the efforts of NAAFA to assist in the passing of the bill that would add height and weight to the protected ?classes in the state of Massachusettes.
Jeanne a long time music teacher living in Concord, Mass, used her love of music to play piano, sing and arrange NAAFA choruses for various conventions throughout the years. Jeanne was a charming woman, a lovely singer, and had a very vivacious personality.
On a personal level Jeanne and I spent wonderful times together enjoying our love of our respective home States. We spent a weekend exploring some wonderful CA landmarks, and on a visit east, she escorted Guy and me on a wonderful historical tour of Concord and Olde Boston. What a sweetheart she was, and she will certainly be missed.
Your expressions of sympathy may be sent to her sister Nancy at [email protected]
