Still tired of life
Hi, I'm in a particular antagonistic mood right now so I thought I would start a reasonably pointless thread where (surprise surprise) we all write down some of the most stupidest and most insincere things we've ever heard in our lives. One that comes to mind for me is the phrase "I hate to say it but I told you so". It just sounds so insincere!
I guess maybe because if I said it exactly like that I would feel insincere since I don't hate it at all. In fact I enjoy saying "I told you so" to people... I'll even add a "motherfucker" on the end in the same tone that the kids behind the counter at McDonalds offer an Apple Pie with your meal.
So who else has had insincere platitudes thrown at them that left them feeling like saying "just say what you really mean"?
