I'm not all that big by the standards around here, but I am fat enough to have some double chin action....pretty much soft from ear to ear actually.
Shaving around there with a blade isn't too bad, although I find I have to be gentle (and use more passes) else it is easy to cut myself. Most days, however, I use an electric razor. What I've found is that when the blades of the electric razor are getting at all old, in that soft area they just don't do an especially good job compared to the somewhat firmer parts of my face.
I'm fair enough in coloring and thin enough in facial hair that I don't end up looking stubbly, but if the day is humid I'll often end up with some chafing on my neck. Basically when I'm looking down, slightly stubbly double chin is rubbing against the next part down of my neck, and if my skin is sticky from a humid day it seems to pass some threshold and it irritates the skin.
Which is all a way too long intro to asking: guys, do you find your jowlier areas at all difficult to shave? I'm especially wondering about the heavier guys with much softer faces.
