This is just a Short East Coast List of Favorite Places to Visit:
Includes Scenic/well known Areas, Nice Boutique Shops, & Local Restaurants.
1. New Hope, South Eastern PA - Hugging NJ Borderline on the River.
Perks: Nice Boutique Shopping, & Many Restaurants. Many B&B's.
Great for both Short & Long Walks. Not many Hilly areas... mostly flat streets.
2. Lambertville, NJ - Just across the Bridge from New Hope, PA.
Perks: Nice Boutique/Antique Shopping, & Several Restaurants. Many B&B's. Walking is wonderful, here! Many beautiful streets with Victorian Houses. Great for both Short & Long Walks. Not many Hilly areas... mostly flat streets. Walk across the bridge to New Hope!
3. Chester, NJ - Mid New Jersey, on Route 206.
Perks: Nice Boutique Shopping with a Few little Restaurants. Walk along Main Street and Browse in the shops! The Publick House is the centerpiece with a great Sunday Brunch! Nice, Flat Streets. Go for a short drive south on 206 and wander the back roads of Peapack/Gladstone and see lots of Horses. (Several roadside Farmer's stands, too!)
4. Easton, PA - South Eastern PA.
Perks: This town just went through a terrible Flood in July, but it's one of the oldest Historical Towns in Pennsylvania. Several people who resided there signed the Declaration of Independence. Crayloa laid it's claim there in the Mid 90's... and welcomes Young and Old to their Crayola Crayon Factory!
A lot of Old Houses to stroll by. Nice Town to talk a long walk! A few funky coffee houses, and used book stores. Bring your Kids! (have a whole day?
Take Old Route 6 and enjoy the Scenic route to New Hope! It's worth it!)
