Kelly Folsom,
For the ladies AND the menfolks. I have heard stories of women testing a mans fidelity by conspiring with a girlfriend to see how their guy will act if a woman made a pass at them.
I have heard of men breaking up with a woman to see if she cared enough to fight for him to come back.
I have heard about women who borrow a positive pregnancy test from a friend to test their partners reaction to having children.

I have been tested many times in many ways by different women, and memories of this came up in another post I wrote where the testing by one woman was extreme, and ongoing for the duration of the relationship of 3 years. This led me to create this thread out of an interest and curiosity of how often this really occurs and to what extremes people go to test their partners motives, trust, or fidelity, or whatever may be in question in the relationship, and whether men or women test more often.

Personally I hate when a partner feels the need to test me for any reason rather than being forthright or simply discussing things honestly and openly with me regarding the questioned issue. I percieve this type of testing as a betrayal of trust but I do recognize that in some cases it is the only way for a partner to gain a sense of security when they have been betrayed by past experiences. Some people being cynical by nature are mistrusting of others and realize that the only way to know the true answer is to be placed in the situation then take notes on whether his / her actions come as easily or speak as loudly as their words. After all it is rare that a partner will come straight out and say that they would do something outside of the rules of acceptable behaviour in a relationship?

Regardless of your answer to the poll, basic details of who tested who and how would be appreciated. There is no need to give names or details.
