The Wire (greatest TV show ever)!!

Thought i'd start this, not for any real reason or with a goal..but just to appreciate the greatest show (with the sopranos) that has ever been dreamt up! Watching TV tonight and noticed the BBC is to air every episode, back to back, this sent me into quite a frenzy! Wondering how many people out there have watched this and what their favourite characters are etc?

Also, your thoughts on it coming to terestrial...excitement!?
