Sometimes everything on HP got looked at through the lens of the current American political dynamic (essentially Democrat vs Republican, although a lot of other terms did get tossed around). There are a lot of other ways that any discussion can be framed, and sometimes I think different ways of looking at something help make more sense of one aspect or another.
Of course a LOTof different ways that we can divide up our ways of looking at the world. I have a couple that I'm going to bring up, and discuss an area where I think they give a different way of looking at an issue or two, but I welcome others to add any viewpoints that they think are useful (and non-dismissive -- dividing the world into some equivalent of 'right' and 'wrong' doesn't really illuminate a lot).
