Happenstance
Cautious Pessimist
Every now and then (maybe once a month) I will find a song that I feel compelled to listen to repeatedly for about twenty-four hours. This is the thread where I will tell you about the songs that have captured some part of me. (If this happens to you too, feel free to share here.)
Right now, the song I am playing for about the fiftieth time is a song about musicians. It also discusses the narrator's spiritual relationship with music. And it references Buddy Holly, among other musicians who have died young. Have you guessed it yet? I am listening to Blow Away, by Kate Bush! Wait, what? American Pie? No, this song is about a thousand times better in every way. Here, have a listen!

It is dedicated to Bill Duffield, the lighting director for Kate Bush's only tour, who died in an accident during the tour, at the age of 21. It is speculated that this is part of the reason Kate Bush never toured again.
