"Family doctors and nurses should tell people they are fat rather than obese because such plain speaking would help more to lose weight, a health minister said today."
I love how some sections of society seem to think that "plain speaking" is a cure for everything. Do they really believe that obese people do not already know that they're fat? I've discussed elsewhere on the forum about how I don't mind the word "fat" when it comes from an FA, or from friends or family. But doctors shouldn't be using such an emotionally loaded term.
