The news is quite rightly being dominated by the impact of Sandy right now, but sometimes we could all use something more frivolous to think about.

So, Disney is buying Lucasfilms, the makers of the Star Wars movies, and plans to start pumping out a new movie in that franchise every couple of years. They could be great movies, but let's ignore that. Crossing Star Wars and Disney, how silly could we get?

Scrooge McVader? Captain Hook intoning "I am your father, Peter!"?
