The Long Version:
So, I was planning to go to a fantasyfeeder event in Austin, but life got in the way. Long before the time came to go though I had a few members over there talking to me in PMs saying they wished they could make it to Austin, but it was just too far away, pity it wasn't in Dallas.
Well, I know Austin is kind of a middle ground for all of Texas and logistically that was why it was chosen, but I thought it couldn't hurt to get something going in Dallas so maybe some of those would-be attendees that couldn't make the long drive could come have some fun in DFW. I also figure having a larger pool of potential attendees by inviting members from Dimensions Forums will probably help the turnout a bit.
So then one of my friends on ff suggests we do something in Dallas too! Alright, I'm set, but what? Her suggestion is Barcadia - http://barcadiabars.com/barcadia-dallas/. With vintage arcade games, giant connect 4, and life size jenga, I'm sold! The question now becomes, is anyone else up for it?
We figure planning a V-day thing (singles totally welcome right along with couples) gives people a month and a half almost to get their plans in order. We're looking at either Friday the 10th or Saturday the 11th, though time is still up in the air. If there's interest I will be contacting the venue when the date is close. If you have other suggestions as to where we might go, please, sound out. We found this place through Google and aren't set on it.
