lately there has been a lot in the news about Charlie Sheen. We also have the latest on Mel Gibson now. Everyone knows about Stephen Baldwin's rep and we even have the evidence thats he's at least verbally abusive toward his ex wife and even his daughter. What i really don't understand is how these men have been allowed to go on with their careers, and even become more popular, with virtually no repercussions.
With Charlie Sheen people seem more concerned about what he said about his male producer and the fact that lots of people are going to lose a paycheck. Mel Gibson has always have the rep of being a wife beater but it wasn't until he made openly semitic remarks aimed toward Hollywood execs that it was remarked on seriously. the wife beating part seems like a side dish or just yet another reason to slightly dislike him rather than something that should maybe get him banned from hollywood.
I really can't understand why these guys were able to go along with their careers just fine until they did something that insulted men. why isn't hitting your wife or gf and verbally abusing your own daughter enough to get you kicked out of hollywood these days?
