Ridiculous.
Has anyone seen this one for NutriSystem?
It's for men who want to lose weight though still want to be manly men and eat hearty meals. Apparently you buy their food (how do they get it to you... I always wondered that?) that's apparently is healthy because they "separate the good carbs from the bad carbs." They make use of retired famous athletes and coaches (Dan Marino, Mike Golic, Don Shula, etc.) who all claim to have lost ___ pounds on this diet plan.
One of the former athletes (now baseball analyst) in John Kruk, who was a big guy throughout his major league baseball career. Now... all the other athletes put on big smiles and said, "Hey! I lost ____ pounds on the NutriSystem plan!" But Kruky... wow... he gets up there in front of an "I lost 22 pounds" graphic and says:
"MY WIFE DOESN'T FIND ME AS DISGUSTING AS SHE USED TO!"
Just... wow. F*cking wow. That is by far the worst advertising job ever. We all know these people behind the diet schemes think fat and fat people are just disgusting and repulsive. But to actually be blatant about it? That's a whole new low... and I hope their food sells like lead balloons.
I also hope John Kruk takes endless crap for his appearance (in the commercial). I mean, I'd LOVE to be married to a woman that found my body disgusting. Wouldn't you? :doh:
